About
India’s airports, explained terminal by terminal.
India moves more air passengers than almost anywhere on earth — hundreds of millions a year, through everything from Delhi’s Terminal 3 to regional airports serving a single state. The Indian Airports maps all of it: what each terminal holds, how to get there, and what to sort out before you fly.
We’re building one reliable place for the practical details — the kind seasoned travellers already know and everyone else has to piece together.
What we do
We build detailed, practical guides across three areas:
- Airport guides — from Delhi and Mumbai down to smaller regional airports — covering terminals and which airlines fly from which, departures, arrivals, immigration and customs basics, live flight boards, lounges, ATMs, forex, food and facilities inside the terminal, metro/taxi/bus connections, and hotels, hospitals, and help nearby.
- A Visa & Immigration Guide — plain-language breakdowns of visa categories, how to apply, FRRO registration, OCI/PIO status, restricted areas, and more, always pointing back to the official government sources that matter most.
- Travel Prep guides — money and payments, health and safety, culture and etiquette, and the practical groundwork that makes a trip to India go smoothly, for first-time visitors, returning NRIs, and diaspora families alike.
Current, and dated so you can tell
Every guide carries a “Last verified” date. Indian aviation is expanding fast — new terminals open, airlines shift between them, visa rules evolve — and a guide is only worth reading if it reflects that. When things change, we update, and the date tells you exactly how fresh what you’re reading is.
Independent by design
We’re an independent publication, not affiliated with any airport, airline, or government agency. That’s deliberate: it means our only obligation is to you. It also means we’ll always point you to the official source for anything critical — your terminal, your visa requirements — because that’s where the authoritative answer lives.
How we keep the lights on
The site is free. We may earn commissions when you book hotels or services through partner links, and we may show ads — none of which changes the facts in our guides. Full details are on our Affiliate Disclosure page.
Who’s behind this
Our founder grew up in India before moving to the United States, and like millions across the Indian diaspora, has been flying back regularly ever since. Over enough trips you build up a working knowledge — which terminal your airline actually uses this year, where the prepaid taxi counter is, how much time a connection really needs. Useful knowledge, and almost entirely undocumented.
This site is that knowledge, written down and kept current — extended to every airport in India, and to the visa and preparation questions that come before the airport.
India’s aviation network is one of the fastest-growing in the world. It deserves a guide that keeps pace with it.
